Hockey Eastern Ontario Cracks Down On Unsanctioned Play

Anyone who thinks Ontario hockey federations are not taking COVID-19 seriously is likely not paying attention.

Suspensions are on the way for Coaches, players, trainers, parents and anyone else involved in hockey in Ontario if they are caught playing in unsanctioned tournaments outside of the Province of Ontario.

While normally I would be critical of any governing body creating suspension actions for anyone during an off season, this activity is reasonable considering the public health implications.

Playing safely in the future simply means sacrificing playing for a little while right now. Canada understands this in most cases.

This document is another example of the striking differences between Hockey Canada and USA Hockey.
