Idaho Falls Spud Kings, Ogden Mustangs To Play For Mountain Division Championship

Thursday night saw it all get decided – the 2025 Mountain Division Championship Series will feature the Ogden Mustangs against the Idaho Falls Spud Kings. The division’s top two teams from the regular season will battle for both Mountain supremacy as well as the division’s only berth to the Dineen Cup Championship Series in Wayne, N.J., April 25-29.

The Spud Kings won Game 5 on Thursday by a score of 2-1 in regulation, capping off a series that started with two overtime games. Pueblo won Game 1 4-3 and in Game 2, Idaho Falls won in double overtime, 3-2. The back-and-forth continued as Pueblo won Game 3, 3-1, and Idaho Falls won Game 4, 4-0.

The Mustangs won their series in four games, avoiding what would have been a winner-take-all Game 5 on Saturday. The Mustangs won Game 1, 3-1, then fell 3-2 to the Outliers in Game 2 on March 30. The next two games went back to Ogden, as they won 4-2 and 5-2.

During the regular season series, Idaho Falls won by three points with a 6-3-1-1 record for 14 points, vs. the Mustangs’ 5-5-1-0 record.

The Division Final schedule will be added here once it is finalized.
