Chris Ceransky was one of the good guys. Really just a fantastic human being. When it came to hockey he was a great talent evaluator and coach who effected his players in the most positive of ways.
The last time I spoke to Chris he was asking about my adventures in Poland and Europe. I asked him if he had Polish heritage simply because of his surname. His reply was “No, but dont tell my father in law. He only likes be because he thinks I am Polish.” A great sense of humor was just one of his memorable qualities.
I am just stunned by his death, and the hockey world has lost a great person. I encourage all of you to contribute to the Go Fund Me account set up to assist his family in this terrible time of loss.
