Johnny Schwarz Signs With Dells Ducks August 16, 2012 7:01 AM

The Dells Ducks had a fantastic season last year. As an expansion team they amassed 44 points and were able to develop the the MNJHL’s most valuable player. Not too bad for a team that only had a few months to assemble itself.

Of that original Duck lineup, only a few have been able to make the cuts for the 2012-13 team, Johnny Schwarz is one of the lucky ones.

The 1994 DOB player is entering his third year of Junior Hockey. Having previously played in the South East Junior Hockey League, Metropolitan Hockey League, and last season with the Ducks. Last season Schwarz created team history when netting the clubs first ever hat trick, and he did it in the home opener. Schwarz is currently the only Dells Duck to graduate from Wisconsin Dells High School.

"Johnny is a great kid. His team mates love him, and he is constrantly trying to improve his game." Said Head Coach Bill Zaniboni "Like everyone else he has had to earn his spot on the team, and will have to earn his ice time each week. Returning players do not get a free pass, if anything I expect more from them. I am looking forward to moving Johnny around in several different roles this season."
