NA3HL Expansion And Relocation Teams

The NA3HL proved to be one of the top Tier III leagues in the county at the USA Hockey Tier III Junior National Tournament.  Placing second were the 2013 National Champion North Iowa Bulls.

Looking to expand their reach, and improve their product, the NA3HL received approval for two expansion franchises at the USA Hockey winter meetings last January.

Coming into the NA3HL next season will be franchises located in:

Nashville Tennessee.  Originally approved for Austin Texas, the club has significant support from the local USA Hockey affiliate, and the community.  Proposed owners of the club are Nashville Predators Youth Hockey Director Tim McAllister, long time NHL and retired Nashville Predators player JP Dumont, and former minor league goaltender Brad Guzda.

Point Mallard Alabama. Originally approved for Wichita Falls Texas, the club is being supported by the USA Hockey affiliate.  Proposed Owners are TPH AAA Thunder General Manager and former NCAA player Nathan Bowen and former team mate at Alabama – Huntsville Ryan McCormack.

NA3HL relocation proposals have been made for the following teams:

The Flint Junior Generals are proposed to be relocated from Michigan to Lacrosse Wisconsin.  The team would be owned by Michelle Bryant, Owner of the NAHL’s Coulee Region Chill.

The Glacier Nationals, who were recently part of the AWHL merge with the NA3HL have proposed moving from Whitefish Montana to Havre Montana with no change in ownership.
