NCDC Mountain Division Players Of The Week: Feb. 7, 2025

Forward: Easton Edwards, Idaho Falls Spud Kings 

Edwards (‘05/Anchorage, Alaska) put up two goals and two assists for four points after getting back to the Mountain region following his appearance in the NCDC All-Star Event in Foxboro, Mass. This season, Edwards has lifted his point total to 44 points, a huge improvement on his 16 points from 2023-24. 

 

Defense: D.J. MacLeish, Idaho Falls Spud Kings 

MacLeish (‘05/Troy, Mich.) scored a goal and three assists for four points against Casper after his trip to the NCDC All-Star Event with Edwards and other teammates, which included an assist on Jan. 28. He has 23 points in 22 games. 

 

Goaltender: Noel Friedman, Pueblo Bulls 

Friedman (‘05/Denver, Colo.) registered 28 saves on 29 shots to earn a big win against the Utah Outliers. He remains undefeated over his five appearances with the Bulls this year. 

 

Rookie: Gavin Barr, Pueblo Bulls

Barr (‘05/Colorado Springs, Colo.) registered a hat trick and added an assist during the Bulls’ win on Jan. 31 against Utah. He also had an assist on Jan. 30 for a four-point weekend. He has 20 points in 35 games this year, his first since joining from the NA3HL. 

Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.
