NCDC Mountain Division Players Of The Week: Jan. 8, 2025

Games played Jan. 1-6

 

Forward: Tom Jacques, Ogden Mustangs 

Jacques (‘04/Lousiville, Ky.) added two assists in both games played with the Ogden Mustangs last week. The forward has 22 points in his second NCDC season, with 73 career games and counting. He has 29 career points. 

 

Defense: Leo Mantenuto, Idaho Falls Spud Kings 

Mantenuto (‘06/Medford, Mass.) scored one goal and posted three assists for the Spud Kings last week in his first two games of the season and achieved a milestone 50 career games played. The blueliner played with Twin City Thunder last season, where he scored 18 points over 48 games.

 

Goaltender: Charlie Durkin, Idaho Falls Spud Kings 

Durkin (‘06/Glencoe, Ill.) conceded just one goal on 26 shots on Jan. 3, adding another win for the Spoud Kings. In his first NCDC season, he has a .929 save percentage and is 17-4-0-0. Durkin was named to the NCDC Prospects All-Star team on Monday, as well. 

 

Rookie: Justin Obrochta, Utah Outliers 

Obrochta (‘06), another NCDC Prospects selection, added two points to his name last week. The rookie has 21 points over 29 games played with the Utah Outliers and continues to shine in his first NCDC season.

 

Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.
