Forward: Xavier Vaillancourt, South Shore Kings 

Vaillancourt (‘04/Pointe-Claire, Quebec) scored five points over two games this week, helping the South Shore Kings cement their spot at the top of the New England Division leaderboard. The left wing is playing his second NCDC season and has 43 career points across 66 games.

 

Defense: Gregor Jennersjo, South Shore Kings 

NCDC All-Star selection Jennersjo (‘04/Sweden) continues to dominate the leaderboard as the highest-scoring defenseman for the South Shore Kings and the NCDC. He added five points to his name last week, bringing his season tally up to 27. 

 

Goaltender: Jeffrey Kreidler, Thunder Hockey Club 

Kreidler (‘04/Pittsburgh, Penn.) went 1-0 last week with a 32-save shutout win against the Seacoast Spartans on Jan. 3. The Thunder Hockey Club goaltender is 6-4-0-0 in his second NCDC season, with a .932 save percentage.

 

Rookie: Zachary Walsh, South Shore Kings 

Walsh (‘05/Lake View, N.Y.), a Hamilton College commit, added six points to his scorecard last week, bringing his rookie season tally up to 26. The blueliner is making big statements in his first NCDC season as the third-highest-scoring defenseman in the league and second-highest for the South Shore Kings. He was named to the NCDC All-Star event on Monday, as well. 

Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.

Honorable Mention

Forward: Evan Luxford, Thunder Hockey Club

Defense: Sean Connolly, Thunder Hockey Club

Goaltender: Beau Lane, South Shore Kings

Rookie: Mason Manderfield, Thunder Hockey Club
