Week of Sept. 23-29
Forward: Filip Tomiczek, Jersey Hitmen
A shining example of USPHL Advancement In Action, Tomiczek (‘04/Trinec, Czechia) was a USPHL Premier All-Star last year who has already found success this year with the NCDC’s Hitmen. He registered a goal and two assists in the Hitmen’s wins against the Connecticut Jr. Rangers and Rockets Hockey Club. In the first, he put up a 1-2-3 line, and then came back on Friday to score two goals including the OT game-winner. He now has six points in four games.
Defense: Wilson Farrow, Jersey Hitmen
Farrow (‘04/Sudbury, Ont.) is a fourth-year junior veteran who has shown his experience many times over, especially with his line of one goal and six assists for seven points so far. In the games against Connecticut and Rockets, he had a total of four assists, including three on Thursday against Connecticut.
Goaltender: Griffin Davis, West Chester Wolves
The third-year NCDC veteran Davis (‘05/Nashua, N.H.) registered a 38-save victory, giving up just one goal in a 4-1 victory against the WBS Knights. He is at 3-0 on the season, and his .970 save percentage is second in the league among goalies with multiple starts.
Rookie: Ryan Shea, Jersey Hitmen
Shea (‘06/Norwell, Mass.) joined the Hitmen from the prestigious Milton Academy, and he has been a fantastic find for the 4-0 team in Wayne, N.J. His four goals are the best of any rookie this year, and he scored his first hat trick on Sept. 26, including the GWG.
