NCDC Players Of The Week: Atlantic Division

Week of Oct. 29, 2024

Games of Oct. 22-28

Forward: Gregory Diamond, Mercer Chiefs

Diamond (‘04/West Chester, Pa.) scored three goals and added three assists for six points in just two games, both Mercer wins as they extended their winning streak now to nine games in a row. Diamond improved to 14 points in 11 games this season and is the second-highest scorer in Mercer’s three-year NCDC history with 42 points and is only six points from the franchise’s No. 1 spot overall.

Defense: Jake Stevens, Mercer Chiefs

Stevens (‘05/Newton, N.J.) had a fantastic weekend of posting six assists overall and improving to a tie for the team lead with Diamond at 14 points apiece. Stevens, a 2022 NCDC Entry Draft selection by Mercer, joined the Chiefs for his first NCDC game last year from The Canterbury School and the Neponset Valley River rats.

Goaltender: Griffin Davis, West Chester Wolves

The second-year NCDC veteran Davis (‘05/Nashua, N.H.) had a strong performance in his two games, winning both against the Connecticut Jr. Rangers. He stopped 75 of 80 shots faced in the two victories for a .938 save percentage and a 2.40 GAA on the weekend. This included stopping 45 of 48 in his Oct. 25 win.

Rookie: Roman Cicco, West Chester Wolves

Cicco (‘05/Export, Pa.) registered a goal and added three assists for four points in the Wolves’ most recent two wins. He currently has six points in his eight games with the Wolves after joining this year from the Cranbrook Kingswood School.

Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.
