Forward: Jared Rothman, Rockets Hockey Club

Rothman (‘06/Chappaqua, N.Y.) was strong with three goals and two assists for five points in three games. This included two straight GWG’s against the P.A.L. Jr. Islanders and Connecticut Jr. Rangers, giving Rothman a league-leading five game-winners on the season. Rothman improved his points total for the season to 22 points in 17 games. 

 

Defense: Nico Pasquale, West Chester Wolves

Pasquale (‘05/Chicago, Ill.) put together a pair of assists, including on the overtime game-winning goal by Charles Becnel against the Jersey Hitmen on Nov. 9. He made his Wolves debut one day earlier after being acquired from the South Shore Kings. 

 

Goaltender: Jason Cai, Rockets Hockey Club 

Cai (‘05/Basking Ridge, N.J.) stepped into the Rockets crease for the first time on Nov. 6 and went on to win three straight games. He stopped 89 of the 92 shots he faced, including a 31-save shutout on Nov. 9 against the Connecticut Jr. Rangers. He currently holds a 0.91 GAA and a .967 save percentage. A former Rockets 18U goaltender, he joined the team after starting the season in the NAHL. 

 

Rookie: Samuel Ciappa, Mercer Chiefs

Ciappa (‘05/Baldwinsville, N.Y.) put up a pair of goals and two assists during a 2-1-0-0 weekend for the Chiefs. It’s all part of a 3-5-8 line over each of his last six games that Ciappa carried over from October. The former Canterbury School standout, a 2023-24 tender of the Chiefs, has 16 points in 18 games so far this season. 

 

Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.
