NCDC Players Of The Week: New England Division

Forward: Bryan Tang, Boston Jr. Rangers

Tang (‘04/Hong Kong) earns this week’s player of the week distinction for his game winning goal against the Worcester Railers on Nov. 25. Tang played in all three Boston Jr. Rangers games this week, helping them go 2-1 with three goals and one assist. Tang moved from the Jersey Hitmen to the Rangers two weeks ago. He has five career goals and seven assists across 18 games in his NCDC career. 

 

Defense: Gregor Jennersjo, South Shore Kings

Jennersjo (‘04/Stockholm, Sweden) was a major part in the South Shore Kings’ games this week. With four assists in the two games, the left defenseman’s efforts helped the team win 6-3 against the Boston Jr. Rangers on Nov. 20. Jennersjo has played 19 games in his first NCDC season, posting three goals and 13 assists. 

 

Goaltender: Cole Scullion, Worcester Railers JHC

Scullion (‘06/Burlington, Ont.) earned a .981 save percentage in the two games he played with the Worcester Railers this past week. He had a 27-save shutout against the Seacoast Spartans on Nov. 21, and went on to concede only one goal against the Utica Jr. Comets three days later for a .49 goals against average over the two games. Scullion is 6-5-0-1 in his first season with the Worcester Railers. 

 

Rookie: Taylor Casey, Thunder Hockey Club

Casey (‘05/Rutland, Vt.) has only played five games in his NCDC rookie season so far, but he is making big impacts. In the team’s win against the Islanders Hockey Club, Casey scored two of the goals and had one assist, including the game winning goal. Casey has three goals and two assists in his career so far.

 

Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.
