Islanders Hockey Club 5, Boston Junior Bruins 0

Michael Salvatore stopped all 31 shots he faced to help give the IHC a win over longtime rivals the Junior Bruins. Joseph Samango, Max Lundgren and Michael Lynch each put up a goal and an assist for the win.

 

Ogden Mustangs 5, Pueblo Bulls 4

In a back-and forth battle between two teams that entered the day 2-0, the Mustangs’ Teddie Hember fired home the regulation game-winning goal at 16:25 of the third with his second of the game. Brody Simko and Casper Conradsson-Kelvgard each posted a 1-2-3 line and Dimitriy Voyatzis registered two assists.

 

Mercer Chiefs 5, Jersey Hitmen 2

Henri Spoof and Ethan Byrne both scored two goals and Byrne added one assist as well to help the Chiefs to a big New Jersey in-state rivalry win. Jameson Klein had two assists and Nickita Moiseev registered a goal and an assist. Dominick Gatto stopped 39 of 41 shots.

 

Utica Jr. Comets 4, Northern Cyclones 3 (SO)

The Jr. Comets’ Garrett Krieger scored the winning shootout goal to help the Jr. Comets to a second straight win in their three-game New England trip. Ludovic Martel led the Jr. Comets during regulation with a two-goal, one-assist effort. Cameron Manley got the win in net with 48 saves on 51 shots, and Logan Abric was also impressive with 51 of 54 for the Cyclones.

 

Utah Outliers 6, Rock Springs Grizzlies 3

The Outliers got goals from six different goal-scorers, while Garrett Joss, Makar Klochkov and Brady Jones each added an assist to their tallies. David Utkin earned two assists, and Sam Straff stopped 21 of 24 for the win.

 

Connecticut Jr. Rangers 4, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 0

Primo Baldassarre made 37 saves for his third shutout in five starts for the Jr. Rangers. Alexander Ondos put up a 1-2-3 line, while Damon Myers and Joseph Dable each had a goal and an assist in the win.

 

Provo Predators 5, Idaho Falls Spud Kings 4 (OT)

The Spud Kings forced OT with a late goal by D.J. MacLeish that fired up the sellout crowd of 4,000 in the finale of the NCDC Frozen Futures Showcase. However, it was Provo’s Jonatan Raatikainen that broke the hearts of the Idaho Falls faithful. Jackson Howell and USPHL Premier call-up Gus Immken (Nashville Spartans) each had two assists in the win, and Michael Polston stopped 31 of 35.
