Worcester Railers JHC 6, Northern Cyclones 2

Ben Jarosz (’05/Franklin, Mass.) had a huge game for Worcester with two goals and one assist, and Josh Erickson (’05/Bradenton, Fla.) rang up three assists. Brian Judge (’04/West Chester, Pa.) each scored a goal and an assist, while Justin Massa (’04/St-Constant, Que.) had two assists. Cole Scullion (’06/Burlington, Ont.) stopped 31 of 33 shots, for his fifth win in a row.

 

Islanders Hockey Club 2, Thunder Hockey Club 1 (SO)

Cameron Stehle (’06/Raleigh, N.C.) swooped in and scored the game-winning shootout goal in a 2-1 Islanders Hockey Club win against the Thunder Hockey Club. Braxton Powers (’04/Raleigh, N.C.) scored the IHC’s regulation goal and also had the insurance shootout marker. Ryan Crowshaw (’04/Avon, Conn.) made 30 saves on 31 shots.

 

South Shore Kings 6, Seacoast Spartans 3

One day after the Worcester Railers JHC ended their previous 19-game winning streak, which tied for the best streak in NCDC history, the Kings got back to winning ways on Friday. They are 20-0-1 since Sept. 20. The team got a goal and two assists from Sacred Heart University (NCAA Division I) recruit Jack DesRuisseaux, a 2004-born native of Manchester, N.H. Defenseman Zachary Walsh (’05/Lake View, N.Y.) put up three assists. Veteran forwards Will Rassier (’04/Princeton, N.J.) and Xavier Vaillancourt (’04/Pointe-Claire, Que.) had a goal and an assist apiece. Justin Bayers (’06/Kamas, Utah) stopped 27 of 30 shots for the win.

 

P.A.L. Jr. Islanders 6, Jersey Hitmen 4

The whole Jr. Islanders pulled off a huge comeback, bouncing back from 4-2 to claim a 6-4 win in the end. Devin Niles (’06/Hatfield, Mass.) scored twice, including the GWG. Arthur Mirante (’04/Garden City, N.Y.) put up two goals and added one assist. Robert Lachance (’04/West Hartford, Conn.) had a goal and an assist each, while Ethan Ramonetti (’06/East Northport, N.Y.) stopped 17 of 18 in relief to get the win. The Jr. Islanders have earned points in 17 straight games, going 14-0-2-1 in that time.

 

Boston Jr. Rangers 6, Utica Jr. Comets 3

The number six was very popular with winning teams in the East tonight, with the Boston Jr. Rangers earning a 6-3 victory against the host Utica Jr. Comets. Turner Richards (’04/Minocqua, Wis.) scored twice, including his first GWG of the season. Three different players registered two assists for the game, including Luca Restauri (’05/Hamilton, Ont.), Jake Russell (’04/Arlington, Mass.) and Bryan Tang (’04/Hong Kong). The Jr. Rangers each put up a goal and an assist apiece from Mathieu Fournier (’04/Quebec City, Que.) and Tyler Dale (’04/Pewaukee, Wis.) and in net, Stephen Chen (’05/Beijing, China) turned away 46 of 49 saves for the win.

 

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 1, Rockets Hockey Club 0 (OT)

The Knights got two big firsts on Friday night.  They got an OT winner from Premier Knights call-up Jeremy Lamothe (’06/Becancour, Que.) in his NCDC debut, and a 30-save shutout from newcomer Ean Badgett (’04/Howell, Mich.) 

 

Connecticut Jr. Rangers 3, Mercer Chiefs 0 

Boy, was the Jr. Rangers’ newcomer from Czechia in the zone tonight. Jakub Kral (’04) stopped all 56 shots from the Mercer Chiefs for a huge 3-0 victory, in which teammate Alexander Ondos (’04/Pittsburgh, Pa.) scored twice.

 

Pueblo Bulls 5, Casper Warbirds 2

The Wonder Twins struck again for the @pueblobullshockey, as Siamion Marshchanok and Matsvei Marshchanok (both ’05/Minsk, Belarus) each had three points, with Siamion scoring twice. Devin Peck (’05/Colorado Springs, Colo.) made 35 saves on 37 shots to get the win.

 

Ogden Mustangs 4, Rock Springs Grizzlies 1

Troy Hunka (’06/North Canton, Ohio) scored two goals and added one assist, while Brody Simko (’04/Butler, Pa.) put up a goal and an assist to help the Mustangs earn points for a seventh straight game (7-0-0-1). In net, Dilans Birkans (’06/Ilskile, Latvia) made 24 sves on 25 shots for Ogden.
