Emil Szepezi (’04/Chateauguay, Que.) scored a 1-2-3 line to help the Wolves to a second straight win against the Jersey Hitmen. Seiya Ishida (’04/Tomakomai, Japan) had three assists and Bryan Weissler (’04/Floral Park, N.Y.) put up two helpers. Joshua Swan (’04/Chateauguay, Que.) and Brady Huang (’05/Lexington, Mass.) each put up a goal and an assist, while Griffin Davis (’05/Nashua, N.H.) stopped 43 of 46 for the win.
Rockets Hockey Club 6, Mercer Chiefs 3
Dylan Margel (’05/Potomac, Md.) scored twice against the Chiefs and added an assist to push his team to a 6-3 win. Tyler Kusznier (’07/High Bridge, N.J.) put up a 1-2-3 line, and both Cooper Struckel (’06/Chicago, Ill.) and Jared Rothman (’06/Chappaqua, N.Y.) each had two points. This all helped goaltender Jason Cai (’05/Basking Ridge, N.J.) earn the win, to which he contributed 39 saves on 42 shots for the win.
Idaho Falls Spud Kings 4, Casper Warbirds 1
The Spud Kings scored three unanswered goals in the third period to break a 1-1 tie coming out of the second in Wyoming. Owen Beyer (’05/Owatonna, Minn.) scored the GWG and had an assist, and Liam Filip (’04/Gratfton,Ont.) put up a 1-1-2 line as well. Wil O’Donovan (’06/Cambridge, Minn) put up two assists, and Charlie Durkin made 34 saves on 35 shots for the victory.
Ogden Mustangs 5, Utah Outliers 2
Denis Kuzmenkov (’06/Moscow, Russia) scored twice and Jackson Walsh (’05/Northville, Mich.) put up a 1-2-3 line. Jiri Duda (’05/Glen Ellyn, Ill.) and Tom Jacques (’04/Louisville, Ky.) each had a goal and an assist and Brody Simko (’04/Butler, Pa.) put up two assists. In net, Dilans Berkins stopped 26 of 28 shots.
Rock Springs Grizzlies 6, Pueblo Bulls 1
The Grizzlies registered a 6-1 victory to give them a big victory against the Pueblo Bulls. Spencer Foster (’05/McKinney, Texas) scored twice, while the team got a 1-2-3 line from Charlie Kranglin Hedberg (’04/Sweden) and three assists from Edvin Edlund (’05/Ostersund, Sweden). Max Von Klinggraeff (’04/Edina, Minn.) put up two assists, and Matthew MacArthur (’04/Barrington, Ill.) made 14 saves on 15 shots to earn the win.
