Boston Jr. Rangers 7, Utica Jr. Comets

The Jr. Rangers earned their fifth victory of the season, with Mathieu Fournier (’04/Quebec City, Que.) scored a 1-3-4 line including the game-winner. The Jr. Rangers got a goal and an assist apiece from Kade Smigaj (’04/Stevens Point, Wis.), Jake Russell (’04/Arlington, Mass.) and Brando D’Antonio (’04/Studio City, Calif.) Additionally, Luca Restauri (’05/Hamilton, Ont.) registered two assists and SMaule Lyons (’04/Green Bay, Wis.) put up a goal and an assist. Mason Jones (’05/Auburn, N.Y.) stopped 42 of 44 shots from Utica for the win.

 

Thunder Hockey Club 5, Seacoast Spartans 2 

The Thunder defeated the Spartans, partly off the strength of three-point efforts from Gregory Johnson (’05/Napierville, Ill.) and Roman Wainwright (’05/Detroit, Mich.), while Joshua Itri (’06/Sandwich, Mass.) scored the game-winner and added an assist. Roger Davis (’04/Exeter, N.H.) had two assists. Jeff Kreidler (’04/Pittsburgh, Pa.) registered 34 saves on 37 shots for the victory.

 

Rockets Hockey Club 2, Connecticut Jr. Rangers 1

Jared Rothman (’06/Chappaqua, N.Y.) extended his league lead in game-winners after scoring his second straight and fifth on the season in a 2-1 regulation victory over the Connecticut Jr. Rangers, the Rockets’ second straight win. He also earned an assist in the game. Jason Cai (’05/Basking Ridge, N.J.) got the win with 28 saves on 29 shots. For Connecticut, Jan Lokajicek (’04/Plzen, Czechia) was strong on the other end, stopping 40 of 42 shots.

 

South Shore Kings 4, Northern Cyclones 3

Ethan Woolcott. (’05/Irvine, Calif.) scored the regulation game-winner in the second period to put the Kings up 4-0, before the Cyclones made a valiant comeback attempt with three unanswered goals in the third period. Eli Velepec (’05/Irondequoit, N.Y.) and Tyler Maxner (’04/Bayfield, Ont.) put up a goal and an assist apiece, and Justin Bayers (’06/Kamas, Utah) stopped 30 of 33 shots in goal for the win.

 

West Chester Wolves 4, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 0

Sebastian Pribula (’05/Kosice, Slovakia) made 36 saves to shut out the WBS Knights on Friday afternoon. Joshua Swan (’04/Chateauguay, Que.) scored a goal and added one assist, and Philip Gamper (’05/Vienna, Austria) put up two assists for the Wolves.

 

P.A.L. Jr. Islanders 3, Mercer Chiefs 2

Newcomer Max Einbender (’06/Manhasset, N.Y.) scored the game-winning goal with his first NCDC goal. Trey Wandall (’05/Lithia, Fla.) registered three assists, while Ryan Kearney (’04/Kings Park, N.Y.) added two helpers. Ethan Ramonetti (’06/East Northport, N.Y.) put up 36 saves on 38 shots.

 

Rock Springs Grizzlies 3, Casper Warbirds 2 (OT)

Kaleb Pitman (’04/Alexandria, Minn.) scored the overtime game-winning goal against Casper for the Grizzlies’ third win of the season. Will Burnevik (’06/Champlin, Minn.) and Tyler Hansen (’04/St. Michael, Minn.) each scored a goal and an assist, and Keenan Rosas (’05/Christiana, Tenn.) posted two assists. Simon Zille (’05/Brestovany, Slovakia) stopped 34 of 36 for the win. On the other end, Ryan Henry (’04/Wayne, N.J.) was also strong with 55 saves on 58 shots.

 

Utah Outliers 4, Idaho Falls Spud Kings 3 (OT)

Jentzen Kaebel (’04/Dallas, Texas) scored the overtime game-winning goal, and Nathan Huntington (’04/Atlanta, Ga.) scored a goal and an assist. Lucas Hihn (’06/Burlington, Ont.) and Justin Obrochta (’05/Shore View, Calif.)  each had two assists for the Outliers. American International College recruit Marcus Ouellet (’04/London, Ont.) made 32 saves on 35 shots for Utah.

 

Ogden Mustangs 7, Pueblo Bulls 4

William Cherniak (’04/Desert Blume, Alb.) scored two goals and one assist, while University of Notre Dame recruit Jackson Walsh (’05/Northville, Mich.) posted five assists on the night. Jiri Duda (’05/Glen Ellyn, Ill.), A.J. Iwinski (’05/Batavia, Ill.) and Brody Simko (’04/Butler, Pa.) each scored a goal and an assist. Ryan Tong (’04/Burnaby, B.C.) posted two assists, and in net, Nicolas Rempel (’06/Winnipeg, Man.) stopped 26 of 30 shots.
