New Hampshire Showcase Recap

The Tier I Hockey Federation opened the season in New Hampshire with three days of competitive action across the 14U, 15U, 16U and 18U divisions.

By the Numbers

48 Teams
93 Games
4 Divisions
22 One-Goal Games
5 Overtime Games

Nearly one in every four games was decided by a single goal, setting the tone for a tightly contested opening showcase.

14U: Tight From Start to Finish

No team escaped the 14U division unbeaten.

Cyclones Academy and NH Mountain Kings Academy led the way at 3-1, while both of the division’s one-goal games featured the 95 Giants.

NH Mountain Kings edged the Giants 4-3 in overtime Friday before Top Gun earned a 3-2 win over them Sunday.

15U: Fall Prep Runs the Table

Fall Prep was the only 15U team to finish the showcase perfect, including a dramatic 4-3 overtime victory over NH Mountain Kings Academy.

Philadelphia Revolution and Seacoast Academy also finished unbeaten at 3-0.

15U: Every Goal Mattered

The 15U division produced some of the weekend’s closest hockey.

6 games were decided by one goal.

American Hockey Academy defeated the Mercer Chiefs 2-1 in overtime, while the Philadelphia Revolution earned one-goal victories over both NH Mountain Kings Academy and Top Gun.

16U: Perfect Weekend for PAL

PAL Jr. Islanders: 5-0

The Jr. Islanders delivered one of the showcase’s top performances, winning all five games.

They closed the weekend with back-to-back one-goal victories Sunday, defeating Seacoast Academy 2-1 and NH Mountain Kings Academy 3-2.

18U: PAL Stays Unbeaten

The PAL Jr. Islanders kept rolling at 18U, going 4-0-1 in their 5 games.

Their showcase started with a 1-0 shutout of Lovell Academy, while Islanders HC also completed the weekend unbeaten at 2-0-2.

The showcase’s largest division also delivered the most close finishes.

9 games were decided by one goal.

Five of those came on Friday alone, while Governor’s Academy earned one of the weekend’s biggest overtime wins with a 3-2 victory over Team Maryland.
