The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League has teamed up with The Junior Hockey News.
“I have been reading The Junior Hockey News on a daily basis for the last few years.” Said NOJHL Commissioner Robert Mazzuca “The writers tell it like it is. Whether you agree with what’s written or not, you usually end up thinking about what was written. I know our coaches and league administrators all read TJHN, and they certainly enjoy recruiting at the annual Pre Draft Combine. Its not just a news resource or avenue to market your team, it really is an avenue to recruit high quality players and educate them on the NOJHL and what we have to offer.”
“I have been a fan of the NOJHL for man years.” Said Publisher Joseph Kolodziej “As a family adviser I have been sending players to the NOJHL for years, and in every case they have gone on to college. Its a smaller league in Ontario, but it offers a great opportunity to those players looking to advance themselves to NCAA or Major Junior hockey.”
The NOJHL is one of the leaders in Hockey Canada when it comes to innovation. The league is progressive in its rule making and player protocols regarding safety and education.
The NOJHL was the first Hockey Canada sanctioned league to institute concussion safety testing and protocols for players to return to play after suffering a concussion.
The NOJHL was one of the first leagues to make fighting a “one and done” offense with escalating penalties for players who continue to fight throughout the season.
The NOJHL was also the first to institute an anti doping policy.
TJHN will be carrying all Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League releases concerning league events, player promotions, and other developments throughout the course of the season.
