GRAND FORKS, N.D. (www.undsports.com) — University of North Dakota head men’s hockey coach Brad Berry unveiled his first recruiting class as head coach on Tuesday, announcing that 10 incoming freshmen will join the program for the 2015-16 season.
North Dakota’s incoming class includes: goaltender Matej Tomek; defensemen Danys Chartrand, Hayden Shaw, Christian Wolanin; and forwards Brock Boeser, Rhett Gardner, Shane Gersich, Mike Gornall, Joel Janatuinen, and Chris Wilkie. It is UND’s largest incoming class since bringing in 10 freshmen in 2011-12.

UND will open the 2014-15 season with an exhibition game against the University of Manitoba on Oct. 4 at Ralph Engelstad Arena. The regular season gets underway Oct. 9-10 at the Ice Breaker Tournament in Portland, Maine, against Lake Superior State and Maine.
