Notable QMJHL alumni in action in Boisbriand on Saturday

The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada welcomes the Halifax Mooseheads to the Centre d’Excellence Sports Rousseau this Saturday at 4pm ET. This game will be followed by a clash between the McGill University Redbirds and the Queen’s University Gaels at 8pm.

For the occasion, the Armada is offering this promotion:

2 games for the price of 1 on January 18!

The next level visits Boisbriand! The McGill University Redbirds will take on the Queen’s University Gaels after the Mooseheads-Armada game at the Centre d’Excellence Sports Rousseau on Saturday, January 18.

The good news? You can attend the McGill-Queens game for free with your Armada ticket!

Armada alumni Stéphane Huard & Charles Boutin (from left to right in photo) are lining up with the Redbirds this season. Many QMJHL alumni are also part of McGill’s roster.

It’s an opportunity to see a good QMJHL game, featuring Justin Carbonneau and Matéo Nobert of the Armada, and Carlos Handel and Liam Kilfoil of the Mooseheads, strong prospects for the next NHL Draft.

But also to see 21 QMJHL alumni wearing the colors of McGill University, the vast majority of whom are benefiting from QMJHL scholarships, which reached a sum worth over 1.4 million this season!

Four of the Redbirds’ top five scorers are QMJHL alumni: Brandon Frattaroli (Gatineau, Québec, Baie-Comeau), Mathieu Gagnon (Rouyn-Noranda), Stéphane Huard Jr (Sherbrooke, Halifax, Shawinigan) and Maxime Pellerin (Victoriaville).

McGill also boasts last season’s Scholastic Player of the Year, Alexis Morin (Drummondville, Chicoutimi). As for the Gaels, they count two formers QMJHLers on their roster, Ethan Larmand (Halifax) and Charles-Thomas Larochelle (Baie-Comeau).

So it’s a date – sorry, two dates – on Saturday, at Boisbriand’s Centre d’Excellence Sports Rousseau!
