With negotiations spreading out over the course of the last eight weeks, the Plymouth Whalers have found a new home in Flint Michigan’s Perani Arena.
TJHN has learned that the Saginaw Spirit have waived any territory infringement claim that could have been made in order to clear the way for the move to Flint. This waiver was made several weeks ago.
Pending OHL approval, this is a done deal and the Saginaw – Flint rivalry is being renewed for the 2015-2016 season.
A press conference is scheduled for Wednesday in Flint. TJHN will update this story as more information becomes available.
