Owls bolster coaching staff by adding Andy Tufto

Seeking to change the culture of junior hockey that has been on a low in recent years, the Minnesota Owls are proud to announce the hiring of new Head Coach Andy Tufto.

Tufto heads to the Owls from the rival Forest Lake Lakers where he helped lead them to a playoff run last year and a turn around season.

Tufto was responsible for running the D core for the Lakers and did so by having the best D core in the league last year.

He also brings many years of playing experience including four years at holy family in Victoria,MN. Then playing for the Colorado Outlaws in the WSHL and also for the Northern Lights in the MNJHL.  As a player he had the most heart and passion of anyone on the ice with him and he brings that same mentality to his coaching.

Tufto is also bringing advancements with him, including moving players into the ACHA ranks and the NAHL.

We are so excited to have Andy aboard and please stay tuned for a press conference with Andy where he will adress the community and the city of Isanti,MN.
