Pre Draft Combine Alumni Matt Rempe Makes NHL Debut

Matt Rempe makes an impression when he walks into a room. Not only is he a very large young man at 6’9″ and 240 pounds, but he has a personality that energizes every room he walks into.

We first got to know Matt Rempe and his family in 2016 when he attended the Pre Draft Combine in Denver. A year later we got to know him better when he traveled to Michigan for a second Pre Draft Combine event.

It was at the second event that everyone began to see what this tall, lanky kid from Calgary was going to grow into. Dominating players who were three to five years older than him, Rempe was a force on the ice. Refusing calls to switch to playing defense, Rempe knew he wanted to continue as a forward.

Continue he did. From the AJHL to the WHL. Spending last season in the AHL fine tuning his game and this season already surpassing last years point totals had Rempe moving up to the NHL.

Congratulations Matt Rempe! Hard work pays off.
