Samuel Wilbur is the definition of power forward. Big, strong, and skilled. Those are the three most commong words uesed to describe the 1993 DOB Kirkland Lake Goldminers forward.
In his second NOJHL season Wilbur continues to develop and improve. In the 2012-2013 season Wilburn lead the Blind River Beavers with 55 points in 48 games.
This season Wilbur is again producing solid numbers. After a trade that sent the forward from Blind River to Kirkland lake in mid October, the power forward has continued to improve his point production. Producing 13 points in 12 games with Blind River, Wilbur has put up 19 points in 11 games with the Goldminers.

He began with an assist in a 4-3 triumph at Sudbury on Wednesday, followed that up with another helper in a 3-0 shutout of Elliot Lake Friday and wrapped up his run by tallying twice, including notching the game-winner, and setting up two others helping his club defeat Espanola 6-2 Saturday while extending the team’s franchise-record winning streak to eight games.
In 11 outings since being acquired by the Gold Miners in a deal with Blind River, the 20-year-old native of Saginaw, Mich., has 19 points including getting on the score sheet in eight consecutive games.
