Day two in Traverse City saw the players attending the Pre Draft Combine settling into being back on the ice.
Scouts from multiple Universities began to venture into Centre Ice arena late Wednesday afternoon as they look to add to their scouting lists for upcoming seasons. While new contacts with players is currently not allowed, contact with advisers and other hockey personnel is, and schools are taking advantage of that opportunity.
Fortunately, unlike other events, scouts and parents have been allowed to watch the games being played while simply wearing a mask and social distancing when in the building.
“This is the first time I have been able to watch my son play in a long time. It’s such a nice facility I have really enjoyed our time here.” Said Goaltender Jackson Seltenrich’s mother.
A standout Defenseman today was Sean Henry. The NAHL veteran has clearly spent his quarantine time wisely, gaining strength and power while working on his shot accuracy.
Lighting the lamp several times Wednesday, Henry backed that up with strong defensive and physical play at both ends of the ice. Clearly he is ready to take his game to a new level in the 2020-2021 season.
Preparing for the third and final day, Pre Draft Combine participants will see their information distributed to scouts attending and those who could not due to quarantine or travel issues.
