Premier Stars of the Week | Dec. 1-7, 2025

The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) Premier has announced its Division Stars of the Week, recognizing standout performances from December 1-7, 2025. Only players nominated by their teams were eligible for consideration.

Alberta Division

Forward: Reece Orser – Southern Alberta Mustangs
Reece Orser scored 2 goals in 2 games, including a power-play game-winner, to spark the Mustangs’ attack.

Defenseman: Micheal Metcher – Three Hills Titans
Micheal Metcher posted 2 goals and 2 assists over 3 games, providing steady two-way play for the Titans.

Goalie: Caden Nelson – Three Hills Titans
Caden Nelson delivered steady, timely goaltending for the Titans all week to lock down the Alberta honor. Nelson went 2-0, allowing 5 goals on 98 shots. 

Atlantic Division

Forward: Filip Piatkowski – Hershey Cubs
Filip Piatkowski piled up 4 goals and 2 assists in just 2 games to power the Hershey offense.

Defenseman: Connor Nowicki – Hershey Cubs
Connor Nowicki contributed 1 goal and 3 assists from the back end over 2 games, keying the Cubs’ transition.

Goalie: Elijah Wiltshire – West Chester Wolves
Elijah Wiltshire went 1-0-0 while stopping 56 of 58 shots, finishing with a 1.14 GAA and .966 save percentage.

Florida Division

Forward: Reese Hemme – Florida Jr. Blades
Reese Hemme totaled 3 goals and 2 assists in 2 games, including both a power-play and game-winning goal.

Defenseman: Carson Updike – Florida Jr. Blades
Carson Updike quarterbacked the blue line with 4 assists in 2 games, driving Florida’s offense.

Goalie: Konsta Hiltunen – Tampa Bay Juniors
Konsta Hiltunen turned aside 26 of 27 shots in his start, posting a 1.00 GAA and .963 save percentage.

Great Lakes Division

Forward: Alexander Brown – Columbus Mavericks
Alexander Brown notched 4 goals and 2 assists in 2 outings, including a game-winner to lead the Mavericks.

Defenseman: Thomas Astley – Columbus Mavericks
Thomas Astley chipped in 1 goal and 3 assists over 2 games to anchor the Columbus blue line.

Goalie: Deagan Rathburn – Bearcat Junior Hockey Club
Deagan Rathburn backstopped Bearcat with poised, reliable play throughout the week. Rathburn stopped 97 shots for a .844 SV%. 

Midwest Division

Forward: Joshua Yeates – Chicago Crush
Joshua Yeates registered 3 goals and 2 assists in 3 games to pace the Crush forward group.

Defenseman: Alex Fournier – MJDP
Alex Fournier added 2 assists in 2 games while logging key minutes on the MJDP blue line.

Goalie: Brendan Kusbel – Chicago Crush
Kusbel faced 89 shots over two outings, going 1-1-0 while making 80 saves for the Crush.

New England Division

Forward: Sam Jaramillo – Worcester Jr. Railers
Sam Jaramillo produced 3 goals and 2 assists in 2 games, including a power-play strike.

Defenseman: Matt Taylor – Northern Cyclones
Matt Taylor posted 2 assists in 2 contests, providing steady puck movement for the Cyclones.

Goalie: Steven Louiselle – Northern Cyclones
Steven Louiselle went 1-0-0 while stopping 18 of 19 shots for a 1.00 GAA and .947 save percentage.

North Division

Forward: Weston Schenkelberg – Minnesota Squatch
Weston Schenkelberg led the Squatch forward group with consistent offensive pressure all week. Schenkelberg posted 4 points with a hat trick on Saturday and adding an assist. 

Defenseman: Dante Zaffarano – Steele County Blades
Dante Zaffarano contributed a goal and an assist in 2 games, including a power-play tally while keeping a +3 rating. 

Goalie: Braedyn Sullivan – Steele County Blades
Braedyn Sullivan posted a win with 63 saves on 67 shots, finishing with a 1.95 GAA and .940 save percentage.

Northwest Division

Forward: Kristian Hallbych – McCall Smokejumpers
Kristian Hallbych erupted for 13 points (6g, 7a) in 3 games, including power-play and shorthanded scoring.

Defenseman: Micah Stanczyk – Vernal Oilers
Micah Stanczyk was dominant from the blue line with 6 goals and 1 assist in just 2 games.

Goalie: Matej Hronski – Seattle Totems
Matej Hronski went 2-0-0 with 49 saves on 50 shots, posting a 0.50 GAA, .980 save percentage and a shutout.

Pacific Division

Forward: Nick Mardani – Ventura Vikings
Nick Mardani tallied 3 goals and 3 assists in 3 games, including a power-play strike.

Defenseman: Loui Lundahl – Henderson Force
Loui Lundahl recorded 4 points with 2 goals and 2 assists over 3 outings, helping drive Henderson’s transition game.

Goalie: Noah Hammarstrom – Fresno Monsters
Noah Hammarstrom stopped 70 of 72 shots en route to a 2-0-0 week with a 1.02 GAA and .972 save percentage.

Southeast Division

Forward: Daniel Alexander – Potomac Patriots
Daniel Alexander posted 2 goals and 3 assists in 2 games, including both a power-play and game-winning goal.

Defenseman: Hunter Raffert – Potomac Patriots
Hunter Raffert added 1 goal and 4 assists across two games, controlling the tempo from the back end.

Goalie: Ethan Laughlin – Hampton Roads Whalers
Ethan Laughlin earned a win with 24 saves on 25 shots, good for a 1.00 GAA and .960 save percentage.

St. Lawrence Division

Forward: Cam Perras – NY Dynamo
Cam Perras scored 3 goals and 2 assists across 2 contests to fuel the Dynamo offense.

Defenseman: Samuel Clement – Montreal Black Vees
Samuel Clement dished out 3 assists in 2 games, stabilizing Montreal’s defensive corps.

Goalie: Anthony Gervais – Hawkesbury Knights
Anthony Gervais went 1-0-0 with 63 saves on 68 shots, finishing with a .926 save percentage and 2.43 GAA.
