The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) Premier has announced its Division Stars of the Week, recognizing standout performances from September 29 – October 5, 2025. Only players nominated by their teams were eligible for consideration.
Atlantic Division
Forward: Max McKay – West Chester Wolves: West Chester forward Max McKay accounted for four points over two games. In a 12-3 win, Max added two assists, then in the following night in a 5-0 win, he added two goals. This season the Rochester, NY native has played in 7 games and totalled 10 points.
Defenseman: Ryunosuke Shirozu – West Chester Wolves: West Chester defenseman posted five points over two games. The Tomakomai, Japan native added two goals and two assists to open up the weekend, then followed with a goal the following night with a +6 rating on the weekend. Shirozu has played in 7 games and has 3 goals and 5 assists on the season.
Goaltender: Elijah Wiltshire – West Chester Wolves: Wolves goaltender Elijah Wiltshire was perfect on Sunday in a 5-0 shutout win. Wiltshire turned away all 40 shots he faced in the win.
Florida Division
Forward: Luke Tomilson – Coral Springs Cats: Coral Springs forward Luke Tomilson was an offensive force for the Cats over a two game series. Tomilson kicked off the game one of the weekend with two goals and one assist, then followed up with a 4 assist night for a 7 point weekend.
Defenseman: Brendan Morea – Coral Springs Cats: Cats defenseman Brendan Morea dished out 5 assists over 2 games. The Yorktown Heights, NY native added 2 assists in his first showing of the weekend, and followed that up with 3 all while adding a +8 rating.
Goaltender: Lorenzo Frigerio – Palm Beach Typhoon: Typhoon goalie Lorenzo Frigerio was near perfect in net in a 4-1 win. The Italian goaltender stopped 19 shots, had a .950 SV% in the win.
Great Lakes Division
Forward: Trevin Johnson – Toledo Cherokee: Forward Trevin Johnson had himself a weekend, totalling 6 points over two games. The Toledo native started the weekend with 2 goals. In the following game, he had a hat-trick and dished out an assist.
Defenseman: Landon Edwards – Toledo Cherokee: Cherokee defenseman Landon Edwards had a great weekend adding 4 points to his resume. Edwards opened up the weekend with a goal, then added 3 assists the following night.
Goaltender: Lukas Kamenicky – Columbus Mavericks: Mavericks goaltender Lukas Kamenicky flew past the opposition in a shutout win. Kamenicky turned away all 38 shots he faced in a 3-0 win.
Midwest Division
Forward: Ivan Barnashov – Fort Wayne Spacemen: Ivan Barnashov put together a strong weekend for the Spacemen, totaling five points across three games. He opened Friday’s 5-2 victory with two goals and three assists, followed by a goal and two assists on Saturday. Barnashov capped the weekend with another solid outing, adding one goal and one assist.
Defenseman: Antonie Bonin – Fort Wayne Spacemen: Antonie Bonin combined for 6 points over three games for the Spacemen. On Friday, he added two points with a goal and an assist, followed by a goal on Saturday night’s game. On Sunday, Bonin added 3 points with 1 goal and 2 assists.
Goaltender: Gleb Rakov – Fort Wayne Spacemen: Goaltender Gleb Rakov backstopped the Fort Wayne Spacemen to a perfect weekend, earning wins in both of his starts. He opened with a 31-save performance in Friday’s 5-2 victory over the Battle Creek Kernels, finishing with a .939 save percentage. On Sunday, he repeated the effort with another 31 saves on 33 shots to help secure a 6-2 win against the Chicago Cougars. Across the two appearances, Rakov posted a 2.00 goals-against average and a .939 save percentage, anchoring the Spacemen’s strong defensive play.
New England Division
Forward: Chase Darcey – Northern Cyclones: Forward Chase Darcey was a driving force for the Northern Cyclones’ offense, piling up eight points over three straight wins. He opened the week with two goals in a 3-0 shutout on Wednesday, then exploded for a hat trick in Saturday’s 11-2 victory. Darcey capped the weekend by dishing out two assists in Sunday’s 9-1 win over the Springfield Pics.
Defenseman: Owen Kneeland – Northern Cyclones: Defenseman Owen Kneeland had a productive weekend on the blue line for the Northern Cyclones, collecting five points over two games. He picked up two assists in Saturday’s commanding 11-2 victory, then followed up with a goal and two helpers in Sunday’s 9-1 win over the Springfield Pics.
Goaltender: Andrew Baumert – Utica Jr. Comets: Goaltender Andrew Baumert picked up his first win of the season in a 7-2 final, stopping 27 of 29 shots. The effort gave him a 1-0 record with a .931 save percentage and 2.00 goals-against average to start the year, as he stood tall in net to secure the victory.
North Division
Forward: Mikhail Ilyin – Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings: Forward Mikhail Ilyin powered the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings offense with a monster weekend, posting back-to-back five-point performances. He tallied two goals and three assists in Friday’s 12-0 shutout, then matched it with another two goals and three helpers in Saturday’s 10-3 victory.
Defenseman: Olivier Bolduc – Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings: Defenseman Olivier Bolduc played a steady two-way game for the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings, collecting four points over the weekend sweep of the Isanti Outlaws. He chipped in an assist in Friday’s 12-0 shutout, then followed with a two-goal, one-assist effort in Saturday’s 10-3 victory.
Goaltender: Braedyn Sullivan – Steel County Blades: Goaltender Braedyn Sullivan was sharp for the Steele County Blades, stopping 16 of 17 shots in a 9-1 victory over the Hudson Havoc. His effort earned him a .941 save percentage.
Northwest Division
Forward: Aatu Suontakanen – Seattle Totems: Forward Aatu Suontakanen lit up the scoresheet for the Seattle Totems, racking up an incredible 17 points over three games in a weekend sweep. He opened with a three-goal, one-assist performance in Friday’s 6-3 win, then followed with a dazzling seven-assist outing in Saturday’s 11-0 victory. Suontakanen capped the run with another hat trick plus three assists in Sunday’s 9-2 win.
Defenseman: Mason Rizik – Seattle Totems: Defenseman Mason Rizik had a standout weekend on both sides of the puck for the Seattle Totems, recording three goals and three assists for six points across three games. He tallied a goal in Saturday’s 11-0 victory, added two goals and two assists in Sunday’s 9-2 win, and chipped in an assist on Friday. Beyond the offensive production, Rizik was a force defensively, finishing the weekend with an impressive +12 rating.
Goaltender: Matej Hronsky – McCall Smokejumpers: Goaltender Matej Hronsky backstopped the McCall Smokejumpers to a pair of wins over the weekend, finishing with a 2-0 record while turning aside 47 of 52 shots. He opened with 22 saves in a 6-3 victory, then followed with a 25-save performance in Sunday’s 9-2 win. Hronsky closed out the stretch with a .903 save percentage.
Pacific Division
Forward: Vertti Sakko – Fresno Monsters: Forward Vertti Sakko was unstoppable for the Fresno Monsters, piling up 11 points across three games in a dominant road sweep. He opened with a four-goal, two-assist outburst for six points in Friday’s 12-0 victory, followed by a one-goal, two-assist showing in Saturday’s 11-4 win. Sakko closed the weekend with another goal and assist in Sunday’s 9-0 win.
Defenseman: Riku Permi – Henderson Force: Defenseman Riku Permi played a key role on the blue line for the Henderson Force, registering five points over three games against Ontario. He opened the series with a goal and an assist in Friday’s 6-2 victory, then added three assists in Saturday’s 7-6 shootout battle. While held off the scoresheet in Sunday’s 4-1 win, Permi’s two-way presence was steady throughout.
Goaltender: Noah Hammarstrom – Fresno Monsters: Goaltender Noah Hammarstrom was unbeatable for the Fresno Monsters, recording back-to-back shutouts over the weekend. He stopped all 64 shots faced across two games, finishing with a perfect 1.000 save percentage and 0.00 goals-against average. Hammarstrom turned aside 37 shots in Friday’s 12-0 win and followed with 28 saves in Sunday’s 9-0 victory.
St. Lawrence Division
Forward: Nicolas Barnes – Universel College Sherbrooke: Forward Nicolas Barnes had a huge outing for Universel College Sherbrooke, powering his team to an 8-5 victory with a six-point performance. Barnes netted four goals and added two assists.
Defenseman: Raphael Bousquet, Montréal Black Vees: Defenseman Raphael Bousquet played a key role in the Montréal Black Vees’ 5-1 win over Universel, contributing on both ends of the ice. He registered one goal and two assists for three points.
Goaltender: Raphael Duperron, Montréal Black Vees: Goaltender Raphaël Duperron was outstanding for the Montréal Black Vees, backstopping his team to a 5-1 win over Universel. Duperron stopped 25 of 26 shots he faced, finishing with a .962 save percentage.
