Prince Albert, Sask.- Prince Albert Raiders alternate captain Niall Crocker has announced his commitment to Ohio State University.
The 20-year-old is expected to join the Buckeyes for the 2025-26 season upon the conclusion of his Western Hockey League career.
“Through talks with their coaches, I feel like this is a good fit,” Crocker said. “I liked everything they had to offer, and I’m extremely grateful and thankful for this opportunity. I can’t wait to get started there.”
Crocker has 14 goals and 26 assists for 40 points in 35 games this season, highlighted by two game-winning goals and a pair of four-point performances.
He sits fourth on the Raiders in goals, assists and points, while his nine powerplay tallies are second only to leading scorer and St. Louis Blues prospect Tomas Mrsic.

The 6-foot-4, 197-pound veteran winger has spent his entire WHL career in green and gold since being drafted by the Raiders with the 22nd overall pick in the first round of the 2019 WHL Prospects Draft.
He’s enjoying a career-best season, averaging more than a point per game and hitting some major milestones in his second campaign wearing the ‘A’ for Prince Albert.
Crocker has tallied 57 goals and 81 assists for 138 points in 256 regular-season games, in addition to another four points (three goals, one assist) in 10 playoff matches.
Prince Albert (19-13-3-0) has won seven of its last 10 games to sit third in the East Division and boast the fifth-best win percentage in the Eastern Conference.
The Raiders will travel south to face the Conference-leading Medicine Hat Tigers (22-15-2-0) on Wednesday, January 8 at 7:00 p.m. MST.
