RIP Mark Reeds

Hockey lost a very good man today.  Mark Reeds passed away this morning after an extended battle with Cancer.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Mark for fifteen years as a colleague, friend, and sometimes mentor.  He was a coach in the truest sense of the word, not only for the players lives he impacted on the ice, but to those he gave sound advice too off of it.

A former NHL player, NHL Assistant Coach for the Ottawa Senators, OHL Coach, and Minor Pro Coach, Reeds had experience at every level in nearly every situation.

A year ago, Reeds underwent surgery to remove the cancer.  It was just two months ago Reeds was still having an impact on Ottawa Senators players when he left the team after suddenly just not feeling well.  Things quickly progressed from there.

When a person makes a positive impact on other people in and outside of the game, they will always be remembered and their legacy of that impact lives on through other people.  Mark Reeds will live on for a very long time.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends today.
