The South Shore Kings have automatically qualified for a berth in the Dineen Cup Championship series, to be played April 25-29 at the Ice Vault in Wayne, N.J. The Kings won the 2024-25 Founders Cup as the NCDC regular season champions,

They hold the No. 1 overall winning percentage (.843) from the regular season and they have earned a spot in the New England Division Championship series. The Kings will qualify for the Cup Championship series as the New England Division Champion or, if they were to lose, as the Wild Card. The Wild Card shall be the New England or Atlantic team that loses the Divisional Final with the highest regular season winning percentage.

South Shore swept their Division Semifinal series against the Worcester Railers JHC, 3-0, closing that series on Tuesday, April 1.

“I am very proud of the way our group competed against Worcester in Round 1. They are a good hockey team and had a lot of pushback throughout the series. We had contributions throughout our line-up,” said GM/Head Coach Tyler Holske. “All four lines contributed in Game 3. We got excellent goaltending from Beau Lane in all three games. Special teams were a factor in all three games. Our penalty kill went 100 percent (11-for-11) and our powerplay went 38.5 percent (5-for-13). We are looking forward to a great series against the Northern Cyclones starting on Tuesday.”

The Kings face the Cyclones in the New England Division Championships beginning Tuesday, April 8. Find the full schedule here.
