The 2026 South Shore Kings Presidents Day Showcase kicked off with NCDC teams from the Atlantic, New England Central, East and North in attendance.
Springfield Pics 5, New England Wolves 3
Springfield pulled away with two third-period goals to earn the win. Jacob Carey scored the go-ahead goal in the second, while Caden Turgeon and Jonathon Denier added insurance in the third. Mario Bernard and Justin Hooper also scored for the Pics. Alex Roy, Vincent Cregheur, and Felipe Miguel Miron scored for New England.
Jersey Hitmen 2, Northern Cyclones 1
Charles O’Connell and Tristan Caldwell scored in the second period, and the Hitmen held off a late push to secure the 2-1 victory. Kevin Sorlin had the lone goal for the Cyclones.
Mercer Chiefs 4, Islanders Hockey Club 3 (OT)
Mercer rallied from a 3-0 deficit with three third-period goals before Brent Beswick scored the overtime winner. Nicholas Rockey netted two in the comeback, while Constantin Humer also scored. Cameron Stehle scored twice for IHC.
Woodstock NB Slammers 1, Boston Dogs 0 (SO)
After a scoreless 65 minutes, Woodstock edged the Boston Dogs in a shootout to earn the extra point.
Boston Junior Bruins 4, Universel Quebec 3
Universel Quebec scored three in the first, but Boston answered with two in the second and a third-period game-winner from Drew Carr to complete the comeback victory.
