The Death Pool – Minnesota Outlaws Gunned Down

Just when you thought The Death Pool season was over, we have another victim. This loss of the Minnesota Outlaws though, is quite mysterious.

While the team itself was not very good, the roster was close to being full. If a roster is full, or even close to full, the team should be somewhat financially healthy at least. But this strangely appears to not be the case.

The Outlaws have a long and winding history. From two relocations, to three rebranding attempts, the team just couldnt find stability in almost every aspect of operations.

Just a few days ago, the Minneesota Outlaws made a plea for help on Facebook when it appears they lost their bus driver only hours before a road game.

Thankfully, it appears as though all of the Outlaws players have been placed on other teams throughout the USPHL, and no players are making claims of wrongdoing

While trouble with pay to play junior, AAA and academy teams is not uncommon, the season of 2025-2026 is record setting in the number of teams that have been forced to fold. The number of teams folding far outnumbers the number of teams that were announced in expansion.

Will this be the final team going dark this season? Thats the question many are asking as they look at other programs who have low roster numbers and rumors of financial insecurity start circulating. One such rumor has one owners credit card being declined at the restaurant located in his home rink, and unpaid bills all around the city.

It may not be over yet.
