Oh happy day. Happy, happy day. Monday’s are the best. I had the weekend to rest relax, and enjoy a little spring like weather. Well, kinda.
So I have been spending the last few weeks going through and researching a lot of complaints about teams, leagues, organizations, and camps that we got complaints on. A lot of people wanting to see certain people or groups listed on an upcoming Black List.
Seriously we have gotten some crazy shit sent to us. Most of it of course is about money. Go figure right?
You would never guess what I found out though while researching some of this stuff! Parents are in a bunch of cases, flat out lying or at least being very misleading.
Here is a clue. The Death Pool, and the Black List are no longer exclusively reserved for teams and leagues. We have now opened up registration for parents who lie. Parents who write bad checks. Parents who make unsubstantiated allegations. Parents who break their contracts. Ohhhhhh yeah. How we like that shit boys?!?!?!
Just yesterday I got an email forwarded to me that was sent from a parent who was claiming their son didn’t register for a camp. They said they didn’t register the kid, that they didn’t pay, and insinuated that the camp owner charged their credit card illegally!
Crazy right? See whats messed up is that when you buy something on line, there’s this thing called a secure payment center. Yeah, so the parent was caught lying. Because the parent being a whiney little bitch changed his mind after purchasing the camp spot.
Instead of being a man though, and saying he changed his mind, he made some baseless allegations. The beauty of this though is that the camp turned the tables on him and reported it as a fraudulent payment! Yeah, so now the dummy has to wait to get a new credit card while the payment gets sorted out. See what happens when you make shit up?
In another instance, a parent was caught lying about their son’s grades. Yep, right when schools were talking to the coach, the coach actually gets a copy of the kids transcript. Instead of the 3.8 GPA, the parents claimed, it was a 2.8 GPA. Poof….there goes the school offers.
Who did the parents blame in the email to us? The coach. Shit. They forgot they actually filled out a profile with the school saying the kid had a 3.8 too. Sucks when you get busted that way huh?
Moral of the story here everyone is that you shouldn’t be trying to bullshit people. You, like teams and leagues will also get caught. When you get caught, word spreads pretty fast.
When word spreads, that you are doing this shit, your kid’s hockey career is over.
Second moral of the story? Yeah, how about just owning your own stupidity, and stop trying to deflect blame from yourself. That might just be a good lesson to teach a kid.
On a positive note though, this new attitude of inclusiveness in the death pool has lead us to launch a new T-shirt line. Yep, simple text T-shirts with nice phrases such as…..
