January sure looks to be a busy month for a lot of folks. Getting ready for Valentines Day is going to take on a whole new meaning for some of these shit bags.
How about serial sexual predator Michael Patrick McNutt who was arrested the other day in Halifax, and charged with 27 counts of sexual assault. Yep, good old Mike was not only a hockey coach, but a teacher! 13 victims are about to make sure justice is done to this douchebag.
Then we got 63-year-old April Elizabeth Borash of Chisago City has been charged with theft and theft by swindle, while her daughter, 34-year-old Lea Elizabeth Vogelsang of Lindstrom and 68-year-old Bonnie Jean Harwell of New Brighton each face one count of theft. Its a family affair when stealing from a Minnesota Youth Hockey Association!
Then we got some good folks in North Bay Ontario who while attending an ATOM hockey game, had to get into a physical altercation! A freaking ATOM game people! How stupid are some parents? Like an NHL career was built at an ATOM game. For those of you not familiar with hockey in Canada, ATOM is 10 and under hockey! WOW!!!
Finally, we have Jaskirat Singh Sidhu’s sentencing hearing today. Sidhu did the right thing earlier this month in pleading guilty to charges in the Humbolt Broncos tragedy. Saying “I don’t want to make things any worse. I can’t make things any better, but I certainly don’t want to make them worse by having a trial.”
The sentencing hearing is scheduled to take place over five days to allow for time for victims to be heard. Sidhu is facing a sentence that could potentially see him in prison the rest of his life. He is expected to receive a lesser sentence based upon victims expressing forgiveness for events surrounding the accident.
Maybe now, people will pay more attention to player safety concerning travel to away games?
