Sometimes you just have to shake your head and wonder WTF people are thinking today.
Everyone is fighting for equal rights, inclusiveness, and trying to level the playing field for those that are disadvantaged and under serviced. Even the most right wing thinking people don’t support racist activity or remarks. Well the educated ones anyway.
So, when hockey graduates more college athletes than any other sport, and the over all demographic for hockey families supports higher educated people and higher income levels, why do we have racists among us? Not just racists, but real freakin morons.

Now we have a Coach and two players suspended for the rest of the season. Suspended? Yes. Just a suspension. Maybe some other penalties are in order? Like some awareness training and some genetics classes?
The racist remarks resulted in a game being cancelled too. WOW A game cancelled? Please. That’s just a bullshit knee jerk reaction.
This is the problem with governing bodies. They simply don’t have the balls to do the right thing in cases like this. A hammer should be brought down on these clowns and real penalties enforced to deter other people from doing this stupid shit!
But its not just a United States thing. Its Canadian too.

Fans harassing players with slurs? When did this become acceptable? When did this become something that anyone even thought to do? Apparently its been going on a long time, just ask those indigenous players in Canada how they have been treated for decades.
Yeah, a lot to be thinking about here. Maybe its time for everyone to get an education.
