The Death Pool – Special Report – A $380 Try Out Camp Fee Tells You All You Need To Know

Holy crap kids, I just could not believe it when I heard it.  Yep, that’s right, a GMHL team is trying to charge players $380 to attend its camp!  Are you kidding me?!?!

I am not even going to mention the team name on the odd chance that some desperate player may register because we talked about it on TJHN.

But hey, if this isn’t a money grab, you wont find a better definition of one!  $380 bucks to be seen by one team?  Who is the genius behind this organization?  Better yet, who are the idiots willing to pay $380 bucks to be seen by one team?

If that wasn’t bad enough, there is plenty of talk about this particular team being one of the teams that is struggling to get a roster done.  Yep, so the theory must be that if you charge enough for camp, the suckers that come can help float the teams cash flow to buy them a little more time to get a roster.

With ONE player signing announcement all summer, this is certainly one team that’s actively working the camp circuit!  Yes sir, this is one world class organization.

See, this is exactly why we started The Death Pool, its teams like this that give good pay to play team operators a bad image.

I am sure there are some kids reading this that were thinking about going to this camp or signing with this team.  I am sure there are some parents reading this who were actually desperate enough to think about sending their kid to this camp or signing with this team.  Yep, there is a sucker born every minute.

Do yourselves a favor kids, find a reputable team, in a reputable league, and play there.  When you see a money grab like this one, you have only you to blame for writing the check!
