Hey kids, its Friday and we all got a great weekend of hockey ahead of us. But before we all get out to the rinks, we finally got us an update on the Sex Video case that has been going on with two former USHL players.
After all the legal wrangling, also known as turning the tables and trying to blame the victim, it looks like we will have a resolution.
Less than three weeks before the case was set to go to trial, Thomas Carey of Moorhead and Brandon Smith of Castaic, Calif., charged with child pornography after allegedly sending out a sex tape of themselves with a then-15-year-old girl are asking to plead guilty, according to a letter filed in Clay County District Court.
Defense attorneys for Carey told Judge Michael Fritz in a letter that the case has reached a settlement and they want next week’s scheduled pretrial hearing to be changed to a plea hearing.
Hmmmmm, maybe, just maybe, these two shitheads will admit they knew what they were doing was wrong when they did it? Maybe, they will apologize to the victim? You think the scumbag attorneys who were looking to blame the victim will apologize? I doubt it.
Yep, and these little sex offenders are getting off easy. 45 days in jail, and no permanent criminal record when this is all done. And they don’t have to register as sex offenders. WOW!!! See what mommy and daddies money can get you kids?!
Well they might get away with this in court, but, for the rest of their lives, they will have to explain why this is splattered all over the internet when they go for job interviews or try to date some other girl. They may not have a criminal record, but people will know.
So moms and dads, if you have any young girls at home in Moorhead or Castaic California, you may want to make sure they know who these boys are. You know, like taping posters on telephone poles and making sure other neighbors are aware.
See, this case just stinks to high heaven. It just smells like the end result is a cover up. The defense attorneys should be ashamed of themselves and the prosecutor should be fired for caving in. Does nobody actually care that the law was broken and a young girl has been victimized?
Just three weeks before the trial was set to start. Maybe the judge will do the right thing and not accept the plea next week! Now that would be the beginning of justice.
