Oh hell yeah! One week from today we will be having ourselves a shit stompin good time. That’s right, its that time of year when the USA Hockey protected lists come out.
Its the great time of year when all the donkey’s who have been holding out hope to find enough players to fill their pay to play rosters get exposed. You know, exposed for not doing shit all summer, and only having ten maybe twelve players!
Ohhhhhhh yeah. I hope a few teams that are on my watch list don’t put their protected list in on time. Nothing like exposing yourself the easiest way possible, by not submitting.
I wonder if any of the teams that were on the death watch last year will make this years death watch. I mean with all the rumors floating around about these teams you got to believe we will have some repeat offenders. Who can forget the repeat offender Ft. Wayne Federals from last year. They were awesome folding the year before, coming back and then folding again. Good stuff there.
Who will be new? Ohhhhhh you know, I am talking so new that you may not have seen this coming. Maybe some teams on the east coast?
Yes indeed, its that time of year. The kids are on the ice, mommies and daddies are writing checks they will soon come to regret writing, and the optimism of Tier III is all around us. Its all about commitment boys, commitment to get that money no matter who we have to bullshit to get it from.
Welcome to the real start of the 2016-2017 season. Look for league schedule changes and teams to just disappear from websites over the next days and weeks. Its simply magical.
