Would you rather get shot in the head once or take about six gunshots to the stomach? You know, quick and painless, or long drawn out and painful? Yeah, just think about that one for a second.
Personally, I would take one to the head. Bang. Put this guy out of his misery. All that getting shot in the stomach and having to think about how what you’re going through sucks would be shitty.
So, why is it some teams, and some leagues like to take six shots to the stomach before someone finally admits something is dead?
Well the WSHL isn’t that kind of league. When they want to do something, they do it. They get shit done, and they do it quickly.
So, when it was discovered that the Owner of the Whitefish Wolverines didn’t sign any players, and wasn’t out recruiting at all, it didn’t take too long for shit to happen.
Boom, down comes the hammer its one shot to the head, and that Wolverine is dead!
Wow, amazing isn’t it? See how painless that was?
No players and parents screwed over. No arenas or vendors left unpaid. No kids having to leave town disappointed. No coaches out of jobs. Yeah, the owner of Whitefish was going to coach the team of invisible players too!
So, the WSHL makes a smart business move and shuts them down. One little caveat with this one though kids. The WSHL already has a deal in place to bring the team back next year with a new ownership group. So in the end, the community doesn’t get screwed out of their team either. They go one season without hockey in order to have more stability in the long run.
WOW!!!!! Crazy that another league would do the right thing. You know, like get out in front of things, take control of the situation and do things right.
But hey, that’s about as pretty a murder scene can be. Now I gotta get back to work because I think we got another one coming in to ICU with six shots to the stomach…..
