The NAHL New Jersey Titans Release Their Initial Roster for the 2015-16 NAHL Season

The New Jersey Titans inaugural season’s roster consists of 25 players, including five players from the state of New Jersey. Skaters Brad Becker, Anthony Cusanelli, Mike Gelatt and Greg Malafronte as well as goaltender Joshua Creelman will suit up for the Titans this season.

The Titans carry six players from the Soo Eagles franchise that relocated to Middletown. The former Eagle players include: Raymond Brice, Bruno Birzitis, Pat Gazzillo, Keegan Miller, Jake Hamilton and Dan Weaver.

The roster includes a bit of international flavor with the Latvian born Bruno Birzitis, Russian defenseman Daniil Kharinov. Hiroshima, Japan native Seiya Hayata. Hayata has represented Japan at the international level. He tallied 17 points in 39 games for the Breezy Point North Stars of the NA3HL. Kharinov, a 6-4 defender played for the Richmond Generals of the United States Premier Hockey League; he played 40 games for the organization earning seven points.

In net for the Titans are Creelman and Kevin Gollmer. Creelman, a High Bridge, NJ native, played 13 games with Kenai River of the NAHL where he earned a save percentage of .891. Gollmer, of Flourtown, Pa., started 45 games with the Cumberland Grads of the Central Canada Hockey League.

I am really excited about the mix of players we have in our club. We have players with junior experience, players who have won championships and players who have been successful in leagues below us,” states Titans Head Coach Rich McKenna. “We have been hard at work the last two weeks developing habits and our identity so the people of New Jersey can see a hard working team with size skill and grittiness.”

The Titans begin their Inaugural 2015-2016 season on September 18th at 7:00 p.m. Middletown Mayor, Stephanie Murray, will drop the puck as the Titans take the ice for the first time at Middletown Ice World against Division Rivals Aston Rebels. The first 500 fans will receive a magnetic schedule sponsored by MJCorp.

Saturday September 19th TitansFest continues with an outdoor event fun for the whole family at Middletown Ice World Arena. Enjoy food, drinks, games, live music and meet your Titans coaching staff and players before puck drops.
