5 games today

All in the East. Mercer and South Shore are idle.

A Utica (No. 3 New England) loss vs. the visiting Jersey Hitmen (No. 6 Atlantic) or an Islanders Hockey Club (No. 1 New England) win over visiting Connecticut Jr. Rangers (No. 3 Atlantic) gives the Islanders Hockey Club home ice first round. Who will they host? There are four possibilities.

In the Mountain, the Ogden Mustangs (No. 1) clinched home ice. Idaho Falls leapfrogged Pueblo into fourth with their win yesterday. The Spud Kings are up a point on Pueblo and have two games in hand.

P.A.L.’s win yesterday knocked Utah out of the race for the Founders Cup. The challengers are Ogden, the Islanders Hockey Club and South Shore Kings. South Shore is on the ropes, but they do hold a 2-0 head-to-head match-up on the Jr. Islanders from their showcase games last fall.
