Thursday Highlights: Knights double up the Colts on the road

  • London Knights rookie Logan Hawery scored a pair of goals against his hometown Barrie Colts
  • San Jose Sharks prospect Kasper Halttunen (2G, 1A) and Philadelphia Flyers prospect Denver Barkey (1G, 2A) played key roles in the Knights big win as they each recorded three point performances
  • Barrie Colts defenceman Ethan Armstrong scored his first career OHL goal in the third period to get the Colts to within one goal
  • Austin Elliott made 24 saves to record his third straight win and improve to 23-1-0-0

Brampton Steelheads 2 at North Bay Battalion 4

  • Jack Lisson earned his third win of the season, stopping 35 of the 37 shots he faced to keep the Brampton Steelheads to two goals
  • Parker Vaughan and Lirim Amidovski put on a fast assault for the troops as they put North Bay in the lead with two goals in 18 seconds
  • Andrew LeBlanc’s 10th goal of the year was the lone goal of the second period and stood as the game winning goal for North Bay
  • Adam Zidlicky and Dallas Stars prospect Angus MacDonell were the goal scorers for the Steelheads scoring in the first and third periods respectively

Sarnia Sting 2 at Windsor Spitfires 8

  • LA Kings prospect and Windsor Spitfires captain Liam Greentree had a four point performance as he scored twice and added two assists to drive his team to a big win
  • Washington Capitals prospect Ilya Protas also had a four point performance, scoring the opening goal of the game and assisting on three others
  • Noah Morneau and Ethan Garden scored in quick succession in the first period as they combined for two goals in just eight seconds
  • Morneau and Garden then both each added a second goal, scoring just 53 seconds apart in the second period
  • Liam Beamish opened the scoring for the Sting in the second period, Beckham Edwards would add a second goal for Sarnia later in the game
  • Carter Froggett earned his sixth win of the season making 23 saves to backstop the Spitfires to the victory
