Trio of NOJHL clubs named in Pointstreak CJHL rankings

SUDBURY – The latest Canadian Junior Hockey League Pointstreak top 20 rankings released Monday sees one Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League tabbed in the overall listings while two others garnered honourable mention status.

With a NOJHL-leading nine victories to their credit the 9-3 Kirkland Lake Gold Miners were slotted 12th nationally in the listings, which are compiled in conjunction with International Scouting Services.

Meanwhile both the Sudbury Nickel Barons (8-2-0-2) and the Cochrane Crunch (8-4) received honourable mention status in the weekly tabulations.

There is no change among the top three clubs in the overall CJHL rankings.

The 2015 RBC Cup host Portage Terriers (MJHL) are a perfect 11-0 to start the season and are justifiably the No. 1 team in the CJHL once again this week.

Holding down the No. 2 spot are the Notre Dame Hounds (SJHL) as they too are unbeaten so far in 2014-15 at 7-0.

Sporting a 15-4 record the Carleton Place Canadians (CCHL) remain third nationally.
