Green Bay Gamblers 4 @ Tri-City Storm 3

Goaltender Jason Pawloski made 54 saves, in addition to stopping 5 of 6 shootout attempts to earn the victory. The Minnesota State University, Mankato commit collected his first win on the season with the busy performance in net. The Gamblers gained momentum in the second period, scoring two goals while shutting down the Tri-City offense. Green Bay’s momentum carried over into the third period when they were able to go up 3-1 on a Vili Saarijarvi tally. It was the first time all season a team has scored more than 2 goals on Tri-City goaltender Alec Dillon.

Des Moines Buccaneers 5 @ Team USA-U17 3

The Buccaneers outshot their opponents 32-23 on the night, leading them to a 5-3 victory. Patrick Grasso scored 2 points (1G 1A), bringing his season total to 6 points in 6 games. Tanner Karty also contributed 2 points (1G 1A), bringing his total to 7 points in 6 games, and 5 goals in 6 games. Nikita Pavlychev scored 2 points on the night (1G 1A), including his first career USHL goal. The Penn State University commit is finding his USHL stride and now has 3 points in his last 2 games, with a +3 rating.

Fargo Force 1 @ Sioux Falls Stampede 4

The Sioux Falls Stampede worked as a team to out-posses their opponents, holding them to only 15 shots. Stampede goaltender Arthur Brey was strong in net stopping 14 of those shots. Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick and Ohio State University commit Dakota Joshua had 2 points (1G 1A), including the game-winning goal. Logan O’Connor also scored 2 points (1G 1A). O’Connor scored his goal shorthanded and his assist on the power play.

Chicago Steel 3 @ Muskegon Lumberjacks 4

David Keefer’s third period goal was enough for Muskegon to sneak away with a 4-3 victory. The Michigan State University commit now has 7 points in 8 games, including a 3-game point streak. Keefer added an assist on the power play. Lumberjacks defenseman Christian Wolanin also had 2 points on the night (1G 1A). Chicago Steel forward Fredrik Olofsson scored 3 points (2G 1A). The Chicago Blackhawks draft pick, and recently announced University of Nebraska-Omaha commit was playing off a hat trick the night before.

Cedar Rapids RoughRiders 5 @ Madison Capitols 3

Cedar Rapids’ Mitch Reinke had 3 points (1G 2A) in a back and forth tilt. The Michigan Tech University forward scored two of his points (1G 1A) on the power play. The victory was RoughRiders goaltender Ryan Larkin’s first USHL win in net. Jiri Fronk displayed his sniping ability with a goal, while Erik Foley displayed his offensive abilities with the game’s first score.

Omaha Lancers 3 @ Bloomington Thunder 4

Bloomington goaltender David Jacobson stopped all three shots in the shootout to help Bloomington get the victory. Matt Nuttle, Jack Jenkins and Ryan Galt all scored a goal and assist in regulation. Nuttle, Cornell commit, scored his first USHL career goal. Jenkins, uncommitted, was +3 and now has 6 points (2G 4A) in 7 games this season. Galt, University of Nebraska-Omaha commit, also went +3 on the night and has 6 points (4G 2A) in 7 games.

Youngstown Phantoms 6 @ Dubuque Fighting Saints 0

Colin DeAugustine had a big 34-save shutout for the Youngstown Phantoms. The uncommitted goaltender has won his third straight game, which includes a 37-save performance on 38 shots. Kyle Connor had 4 points (2G 2A) on the night with 3 shots registered. Connor now has 10 points in 7 games this season.  Bryan Lemos added more firepower to the Phantom’s first line, adding three helpers to his season’s total. Chase Pearson, uncommitted, also scored two assists on the night.

Waterloo Black Hawks 1 @ Sioux City Musketeers 2

Ryan Zuhlsdorf had one shot all game, but it turned out to be the OT-winner. The goal is the first career USHL goal for the University of Minnesota committed defenseman. Sioux City goaltender Cam Gornet came up big with 43 saves on 44 shots. The uncommitted goaltender now has a .980 SV% in 2 appearances this season. Walker Duehr also scored for the Musketeers.
