Forward: Blake Botterill, Metro Jets
The Metro Jets organization has always been one of the Premier’s leading lights, reaching the National Championship game in that division in its first season (2019) and again in 2022. Both their Jets team and Metro Jets Development Program (MJDP) have been regulars at the last several Nationals tournaments, so it’s no surprise that their new Elite team should be performing so well.
The Jets’ .825 winning percentage is fourth in the Elite among regular members, and Botterill has been fueling that performance along with the Spiridonakos brothers and so many more. Botterill put up eight goals and 23 assists for 31 points in just 10 games last month. Botterill’s 3.06 points per game this season – from 49 points in 16 games – is tops in the Elite. He has also registered two assists in four games with the Premier MJDP.
Forward: Peter Spiridonakos, Metro Jets
Spiridonakos (‘05/Laval, Que.) posted a line of 11-19-30 over the nine games he played in November, all part of a 17-game scoring streak that started from the time he first hit USPHL ice until Dec. 1. Peter is tied for fourth at league scoring with 48 points, one point and one spot behind Botterill. Peter has also registered a goal and an assist in three games with MJDP, including scoring a goal in his first Premier game at the USPHL Detroit Showcase.
Forward: John Spiridonakos, Metro Jets
Owner of the Elite league’s longest overall, and current, scoring streak, now reaching all 18 games he’s played for the Jets – totaling 22-16-38. Part of that was what he put up in November, as he registered 14 goals and nine assists for 23 points in nine games. Like his twin brother Peter, he has seen a few games at the MJDP, posting one assist there. On the Elite side, the Jets went 11-0 clean through November.
Defense: Landyn Ringenberg, Fort Wayne Spacemen
Ringenberg (‘04/Fort Wayne, Ind.) was a point-per-game man for the Spacemen, who were 6-2-0-3 for 15 points, the Elite’s second highest point total for November. He registered six goals and five assists for 11 points in 11 games. Overall, he has an 8-6-14 line for the Spacemen.
Defense: Jack Gardner, Chicago Cougars
An impressive new ‘06 defender, Gardner put up a pair of goals and four assists for six points in November. This included a 1-2-3 line during his four games at the USPHL Detroit Showcase. For the first 18 games of the season, he has put up a 4-6-10 line overall.
Goaltender: Justin Mackley, Fort Wayne Spacemen
Mackley (‘04/Avondale, Pa.) was able to put together an impressive 3-1-0-0 record for the month of November, stopping 98 out of the 104 shots that he faced for a .942 save percentage. This performance brought his record up to 4-3-0-0 for the season, and he remains strong even while facing 31.42 shots per game (close to the league average).
Selection Process: The league media office sends top candidates to divisional coaches for review and coaches either approve or challenge the nominations.
