Week of Dec. 21, 2023

Summaries by Joshua Boyd / USPHLElite.com

Forward: Lukas Kurowski, Chicago Cougars

A local product of the Northwest Chargers program, this ‘05 from Elk Grove Village, Ill., has been doing particularly well as a rookie junior player. In his most recent game, he posted three goals and added one assist, including the GWG, in a Dec. 14 win against Decatur. For the season, he has 13 points in 20 games.

Defense: Tyler Rentner, Chicago Crush

Rentner (‘05/Skokie, Ill.) is a second-year USPHL player and put together a terrific performance of a 2-2-4 line for four points against the Decatur Blaze. He currently has 17 points in 22 games with the Crush.

Goaltender: Braedyn Sullivan, Motor City Gamblers

Sullivan (‘07/Manchester, N.H.) stopped 17 of 18 shots to get a win in the Midwest Elite division’s best performance last weekend, giving him a .944 save percentage for that game against the Bold City Battalion, the Gamblers’ opening win at the USPHL Florida College Showcase. Sullivan is 5-2-0-0 for the season.
