USPHL Elite Players Of The Month – November 2022: Southeast Division

(Summaries by Joshua Boyd / USPHL.com)

Forwards

Dominykas Jurjevas, Potomac Patriots

The Lithuanian import scored at a rate of a goal per game, with five goals in five contests in addition to two assists for seven points. He actually did score those five goals in five straight games, keeping up one of the Elite’s best goal streaks (second only to Robert Sheets with six games in early December). Five of the seven assists from a 12-point scoring streak over seven games comes from his final two October contests. Overall, the first-year ‘04 from the Elite Hockey Academy AAA program has 25 points in 20 games. He has helped the Patriots become first overall in the USPHL Elite in early December.

Tristan Seney, Carolina Jr. Hurricanes

Seney (‘05/Granby, Que.) almost seems like he’s been there forever, as he’s become such an integral part to what the very successful Jr. Canes do on the ice every game. The Jr. Canes stand one point behind the Elite-leading Potomac Patriots as of Dec. 4. He went on a ferocious streak with eight points (4-4-8) during the Jr. Canes’ six November games. He also went +4 during the month, and has bypassed the point per game average mark with 25 points in 23 games.

Wesley Wilding, Richmond Generals

The Generals had a brief run of four games in November, but Wilding made every one of them count, none moreso than when he put up a hat trick including the GWG and added one assist on Nov. 6 against the rival Charlotte Rush. Overall, he had a 3-3-6 line, posted a +4 rating and threw his body around with nine hits in four contests. He has 23 points through 19 Elite games. The ‘04 from London, Ont., may be moving up sooner than later as he also has posted three points in five Premier games this season.

Defensemen

Wilder Outman, Charlotte Rush

When times get wild, get Wilder! That’s what the Rush did, and it’s certainly worked out for them as Outman (‘03/Fairview, Texas) has become a huge leader for the Elite squad in his first junior year out of the McKinney North Stars AA program. He put up five assists in six games for the Rush, who went 4-2-0-0 last month. He blocked nine shots and put up five hits as well for Charlotte, and has put together a very strong 16 points in 23 games this year.

Maxwell Sullivan, Carolina Jr. Hurricanes

Sullivan (’05) is a homegrown product jumping up to the Elite Jr. Canes from the prestigious Jr. Canes AAA program, where he excelled as a 16U player last season. Sullivan had one of the division’s best plus-minus ratings for a defenseman in November at +7, he also set up five goals and scored one of his own for six points in six games. He also makes the most of his 5-9, 175-pound frame putting up 11 hits. He has posted 16 points in 23 games.

Goaltender

Evan Crawford, Charlotte Rush

This comes as no surprise to anyone. The repeat Goaltender of the Month Crawford was not only one of the busiest Elite goalies in November, with 240 minutes in net, but he also gave up just four shots on 90 against for a .956 save percentage last month. Not a single shot got past him against either Richmond on Nov. 5 (18-save shutout) or the Jr. Canes (27-save shutout). The latter came one day before his season-high 28-save win against Carolina on Nov. 20, his last game of November.
