USPHL Elite Players Of The Week: Northeast Region

Games of Oct. 8-14

 

New England Division 

Forward: Ethan Hoff, Boston Jr. Bulldogs

Hoff (‘07/Murrysville, Pa.) put up a four-goal and two-assist week for the Jr. Bulldogs, who split games last weekend against the South Shore Kings (7-3 win) and the Springfield Pics (6-3 loss). He has a 4-2-6 line in three games. 

 

Defense: Daniel Mordas, Springfield Pics

The ‘07 from Lithuania keeps on keeping on, as he put up two goals against the Boston Jr. Bulldogs on Oct. 12, and followed that up with a hat trick and an assist on Oct. 13 vs. the Islanders Hockey Club. With 12 points, he has already zoomed past his seven points of last season with the Pics. 

 

Goaltender: Nick Cowles, Northern Cyclones

A returning member of the defending Elite National Champions, Cowles (‘05/Irvine, Calif.) had a huge second win for his season when he stopped 27 of 28 shots from the rival Islanders Hockey Club. 

 

Atlantic 

Forward: Tyler Bertelsen, Rockets Hockey Club 

Bertelsen (‘07/Palmer, Pa.) registered five goals – including a hat trick against the rival Jersey Hitmen on Oct. 13 – and he also added one assist over three games to help the Rockets continue a six-game point streak. Bertelsen has scored eight goals and has two assists for 10 points in eight games.

 

Defense: Brandon Eigner, Rockets Hockey Club 

A repeat winner here, Eigner (‘08/Mendham, N.J.) registered four assists during the past three games, and now has a 2-11-13 line with points in each of his eight games, the longest active point streak in the Elite. 

 

Goaltender: Roberts Kravalis, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 

Five games, five wins, three shutouts. Kravalis, a 2008-born native of Ogre, Latvia, stopped 51 shots over two shutout wins against the Jersey Hitmen (27 saves) and Elmira Impact (24 saves). His .971 save percentage is third among goaltenders with multiple games played.
