New England Division 

Forward: A.J. Bongiorno, Boston Junior Bruins

Bongiorno (‘05/Chelmsford, Mass.) put up two goals and three assists for five points in four games. In the faceoff circle, he was a dynamo, winning 35 of 57 draws for a 61 percent success rate, and he also had five hits. He had 32 points in 40 games this year, and also put up one assist in an NCDC game for that Junior Bruins team.  

 

Defense: Richard Gruber, Boston Junior Bruins

Gruber (‘04/Wien, Austria) was the top choice at the Northern Cyclones Showcase among Junior Bruins defensemen, skating for 19:17 to lead Junior Bruins blueliners. With that ice time, he also produced two goals and six assists for eight points in the four games at that showcase. He improved to 15 points in 40 games. 

 

Goaltender: Mason Jones, Utica Jr. Comets

Jones (‘05/Auburn, N.Y.) came up to the Jr. Comets Premier team from their 16U and 18U AAA program, as well as a four-year career with his hometown Auburn High School. At the Northern Cyclones Showcase, he stopped all 33 shots faced to blank the Springfield Pics. He is 8-0 with a .951 save percentage. 

 

Atlantic Division

Forward: Filip Tomiczek, Elmira Impact 

Tomiczek (‘04/Trinec, Czechia) racked up five goals and added four assists for nine points in four games during the team’s stand at the Northern Cyclones Showcase last weekend. Tomiczek, who joined late last season, currently has 89 points in 42 games for the Impact. 

 

Defense: Connor Craig, Elmira Impact

Craig (‘03/Smiths Falls, Ont.) is a fifth-year junior veteran in his first season in the USPHL Premier. He assisted on five Elmira goals at the Northern Cyclones Showcase while leading the team in ice time with 23:23 per game. His +5 also led the team. He has 65 points in 42 games. 

 

Goaltender: Steven Reganato, Rockets Hockey Club 

Reganato (‘04/Holbrook, N.Y.) was tremendous in net for the Rockets during the Northern Cyclones Showcase, as he turned away 76 of 78 shots in the event for a 0.96 GAA and a .974 save percentage. He stopped 39 of 40 shots against USPHL Nationals staple the Islanders Hockey Club over 65 minutes, and then also stopped all three shootout attempts by IHC in a 2-1 shootout victory. He is on an active three-game winning streak over which he’s posted a .967 save percentage.
