USPHL Premier Pacific Division Players Of The Month: January 2025

Forwards

Simon Eriksson, Fresno Monsters 

Eriksson (‘05/Sundsvall, Sweden) is on a seven-game points streak, with 24 points (12 goals; 12 assists) added to his name in January. In his second Premier season, he has 84 career points across 47 games. He is at 72 points and counting for 2024-25.

 

Cameron Cote, Ventura Vikings/Lake Tahoe Lakers 

Cote (‘04/Chandler, Ariz.) averaged two points per game last month, scoring six goals and posting 10 assists over eight games, seven of which were played with the Ventura Vikings. The Lake Tahoe Lakers forward is in his second Premier season, with 65 career points across 60 career games played. He continues a 13-game points streak that began on Dec. 18.

 

Carter Demelo, Ontario Jr. Reign 

Demelo (‘04/Port Boody, British Columbia) his 80 career points, averaging three points per game last month for Ontario. He scored 12 goals and six assists across six games, adding to his season total of 32. This is his second Premier season.

Defensemen

Carver Alford, Lake Tahoe Lakers 

Alford (‘05/South Lake Tahoe, Calif.) averaged 1.4 points per game in January, scoring 14 points in 10 games played with the Lake Tahoe Lakers and surpassing a milestone 50 career points with 56 and counting. In his second Premier season, he has 51 points over 39 games. 

 

Jett McCullum, Ventura Vikings 

McCullum (‘04/Moncton, New Brunswick) scored 13 points for the Vikings in January, averaging 1.44 points per game over nine games. The blueliner is in his first Premier season and already surpassing 60 career points with 61. He has played 36 games so far this season.

 

Defense Honorable Mention: Amir Shirakov, Ontario Jr. Reign

 

Goaltender

Brooks Barofsky, Fresno Monsters 

Barofsky (‘04) captured three shutout wins last month, going 8-0 with a .929 save percentage. He made 209 saves on 225 shots, garnering a 2.00 goals against average. In his first Premier season, the Fresno goaltender has a .925 season save percentage. 

 

Goaltender Honorable Mention: Nicholas Perry, Henderson Force

Selection Process: The division’s coaches are presented with a ballot form with statistical leaders (ranked by points per game average for skaters and save percentage for goaltenders) and vote on that form. The league takes the results of that vote and presents the coaches with the finalists, who are able to vote on further changes if desired.
